Ricardo Luís dos Santos Gomes, nascido no Porto em 1979, estudou música na Escola de Jazz do Porto em 1995. Vencedor do Primeiro Prémio na Praça dos Pintores da Câmara Municipal da Póvoa do Varzim, em 2004. Em 2005 licenciou-se em Artes Plásticas - Pintura, na Escola Superior Artística do Porto. Titular do Curso de Formação de Formadores no Instituto Superior de Artes e Ciências em 2006. Lecionou Pintura em universidades seniores entre 2006 e 2008. Colaborou como músico e artista sonoro com o grupo de Teatro Tebas de 2009 a 2012. Em 2012 concluiu o Mestrado em Ensino de Artes Visuais, na Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto, e obteve o título de Qualified Teacher Status, pelo National College for Teaching and Leadership do Department for Education, Manchester. Em 2013 foi para Manchester lecionar Artes Visuais, pela Teacher Active e Tradewind Recruitment. Guia e Intérprete na Casa da Música desde a sua inauguração até 2021. Professor de Artes Visuais no Ministério da Educação e no ensino privado desde 2009. Artista Plástico e Sonoro desde 2003, com inúmeras exposições privadas e coletivas. Professor de Geometria Descritiva, Desenho, Estética, Ilustração, Design Assistido por Computador e História da Arte, na Licenciatura em Design de Comunicação da Universidade Lusófona do Porto, desde 2015. Professor convidado da Licenciatura em Ciências da Comunicação da Universidade Lusófona do Porto, a Computação e Laboratório de Comunicação Digital, desde 2019. Professor convidado da Licenciatura em Educação Básica no Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas do Douro em 2022. Em 2022 concluiu o Doutoramento em Educação Artística, com dupla titulação pelas Faculdades de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto e Lisboa. É subdiretor da Licenciatura em Design de Comunicação do Centro Universitário do Porto da Universidade Lusófona - Faculdade de Comunicação, Arquitetura, Artes e Tecnologias da Informação. Atualmente é investigador do Design ID - Universidade Lusófona, e investiga o gesto como fenómeno através de práticas de Desenho e Performance.

Professor of Descriptive Geometry, Drawing, Aesthetics, Illustration, Computer Aided Design and History of Art, in the Degree in Communication Design at Universidade Lusófona do Porto, since 2015. Guest Professor of the Degree in Communication Sciences at Universidade Lusófona do Porto, Computing and Digital Communication Laboratory, since 2019. Guest Professor of the Degree in Basic Education at Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas do Douro in 2022. In 2022 he completed his PhD in Artistic Education, with a double degree on the Fine Arts Faculty from the University of Porto and Lisbon. He is deputy director of the Degree in Communication Design at the University Center of Porto, Lusófona University - Faculty of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies. He is currently a researcher at Design ID - Lusófona University, and investigates gesture as a phenomenon through Drawing and Performance practices.
